Endometrioma cyst and endo.. Please share your experiences!!

I am 20 yrs old and had a transvaginal ultrasound that showed a 4cm complex cyst with septations and slight echoes.. this was a month ago.. I believe the cyst has grown and is causing me pain at the bottom of my rib cage when I sit now its like the cyst is making something press on my ribs.. I had severe back pain that had me in bed for most of 10 days before my last period and then immediately subsided once my period came.. I was amazed the pain subsided within hours! But now I am dreading this horrible pain again as I get closer and closer to my period.. I am scared because I have a new gyno now who is one of the best in my area and she told me to get another ultrasound ASAP and that she thinks I have endo and that the cyst is an endometrioma... scheduled for Dec.12th and I am scared... I also get really bad right shoulder pain right around the time of my period that lasts for about 5 days then subsides every month.. I have read this is from the cyst pain or internal bleeding from the cyst?? Also, I have been constipated a lot and when I finally do have a BM I have fresh red blood with it and it really hurts.. could this be from endo or the cyst? Also when I stand up sometimes everything goes black and my eyes are open and I get really dizzy for a second and then I am ok.. and I have been experiencing nausea, migraine headaches, and extreme fatigue that is getting worse! Out of all of the symptoms besides for the horrible pain I had before my period, the daily fatigue is the worst... its ruining my life.. and making me depressed because it is ruining my life... this is why I found a therapist which I am having my first session with on Friday. My questions are.. does anyone here have these symptoms? How can I stop/treat this fatigue? If the cyst has grown or remained at 4cm will it be removed and what should I expect as far as surgery and how recovery will be like? I am afraid I have endo and it has spread to my diaphram because I have read about diaphramic endo causing right shoulder pain also... Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through.
When you have an endo cyst it can grow, & sometimes fast; & having a cyst can be quite painful as well.
Before I was diagnosed with endo, I just got health insurance (thankfully). I found out I had a cyst on my left ovary. I had about 3 ultrasounds I forget how long apart they were & everytime the cyst had grown.

I can usually tell when I have a cyst. I usually get stomach cramping without my period. I'm suprised how fast I can get a cyst after I had 1 removed/aspirated.

Lets see- Your ?'s:
I have read this is from the cyst pain or internal bleeding from the cyst??
I'm not really sure, the pain might be from both. Your dr. would have to run some tests to figure that out. With a cyst, it can be very painful since it's pressing on the ovary.
with an endometrioma, that causes blood to fill up inside the cyst. If it ruptures, oh my gosh that is very painful.

With your BM- possibly you might have endo of the bowels. I think blood is collected on your bowels, & it showes up in your stools & on toilet paper, when you wipe; that's what i read. Or maybe it's something else- hard to tell.

If the cyst has grown, or is still 4cm, you will need to have it removed. If it isn't going away on it's own & birth control pills haven't helped.
Lets see... I had 2 laparoscopies & 1 laparotomy done-for endo cysts.
With having a laparoscopy done... It's not bad- first time I had a laparoscopy done I was so nervous, afterwards I thought it wasn't bad at all, you are given an IV & put to sleep with medication through the IV. When you wake up your stomach will be sore, this is due to cutting into your stomach muscles. Your dr. will make 2 or 3 tiny cuts, so you'll have little tiny scars afterwards. Your stomach will be sore for 1 or 2 wks after surgery.
Your throat might be soar too, due to a breathing tube down your throat; that'll go away.

I hope that you are able to get your ultrasound ASAP.

Hi Rachel here.

Goodness me, all the things you're going through sounds terrible beyond measure!
You most probably have Endo, you know that it could affect all oragans in the female body-I really hope it isn't that serious!
Your constipation and fresh blood & migraines you're speaking about, it could very possibly be because of hemroids? Have you told your doctor about this specific thing?
If it is internal bleeding then the blood is dark in colour(old blood) Then that is very serious.

I believe you'll be ok. You'll feel much better after the operation. But really as soon as possible! Can you really not get the Transvaginal ultra-sound sooner!? Where do you live?
