I am 5 days post total laparoscopic hysterectomy with endo excision. I'm sore in the areaz where the endo was removed. the this soreness is minimal compared to how i felt before surgery.

I'm also a member on a hysterectomy website where we compare progress notes of others who have had hysterectomies during the same wk, I seem to be on target. But I hear excision causes a lot of soreness...

I too saw Dr. Sinvero - I had a partial hysterectomy, appendectomy, excision, and lysis of adhesions done on March 11, 2011. I tell you, I'm almost 7wks out and there are times when I'm still a little sore. Remember, excision isn't the normal laparoscopy - they are literally cutting out pieces of tissue...Give it a bit more time. Also, you can e-mail him - he doesn't seem to mind, but remember to tell him what procedure you had done and the date. He sees lots of patients!!

Thanks...I don't have my uterus so I don't think it could be adenomyosis...but I will keep it on my radar.  They used a mesh lining on my pelvic wall and I think I have had a reaction to it.  My skin is hot and numb in this...it is getting better and the mesh is supposed to dissolve in two to three weeks...I am hoping it will go away then.  Has anyone else had any issues the dissolving surgical mesh...it is supposed to help prevent adhesions.

Thanks!

I had excicion done in feb 2010 was still in pain after 6 weeks also had excision done in 2005 for endometriosis and was pain free after 1 week so i knew something was still wrong after last one!after having an MRI scan showed it was not endometriosis still causing pain as it was removed but there wasnt vey much,MRI showed ADENOMYOSIS endometri which grown outside the uterus and into the muscle wall so if you are still in pain after 6 weeks ask for an MRI to make sure nothing is left! i still have my uterus so only option is hysterectomy!but definately had 100% success first time and didnt return til 5 years later!

I went to dr sinervo in Atlanta...they were all great but I am still scared that I will never feel normal again.  This is my fourth surgery in seven years including a complete hysterectomy. This is my first attempt at excision and I could use some reassurance from any of you who have had success with this surgery....thanks!
