Is laparascopy necessary ?

Dear All,
I am 29 years old. I have a history of thyroid and this year I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and PCOS. I have been married for 2 years and I want to conceive (haven’t tried yet). I am seeing a gynec . The  doctor had asked to get thyroid normal and to get rid of vaginal infection before conceiving.  The vaginal infection was treated 3 times using clingen, but it keeps coming back. The doctor has asked me to get a laparascopy to check whether the cause is endometriosis or something else.

The thyroid levels are now normal. But since the infection keeps coming back, the doctor has asked to wait before we try to conceive.

I wish to get a second opinion for the recurring infection. I want to know whether laparoscopy is absolutely necessary in my case. I am eager to conceive.

Well that is odd that she didnt tell you because she shouldnt be giving you anything unless she knows what it is.

I would get a second opinion because it sounds like a yeast infection, what i would try is canestan if you have it there where you live as I have had problems with the Monistat.  Take the 7 day treatment as its supposed to be better.

If that doesnt work for you then its not a yeast infection.

I would then go to another doctor and get tested for a Bacterial infection.

Do you get itchy after sex?  Lately there are times where I have no infection yet I get some different discharge and I am so itchy.  It seems to come and go and the doctor is not sure why.  I sometimes think that I am allergic to his semen.  I found that when he ejaculated inside me I would get severe itching.  Now I wont let him and I have only been itchy once and wonder if its from pre-ejaculation.

I have had many vaginal infections and this is the one that stumps me the most, and maybe the doctor isnt detecting a yeast infection with me at these times because I end up going after I have taken the canestan and it still itches.  So if I have taken it, a yeast infection will not show up on the test.

hello ticked,
The doctor did not tell me what kind of infection it is. I guess even she was confused and tried to treat me with different pills ( pessary and antibiotics)
I get a lot of white discharge which is creamy. Also i get itching around the vagina.

I suspect it might be yeast infection. Is there any other way to know for me ( by checking myself )what kind of infection this is ?
