Need some advice ASAP in constant pain

Hi guys ,

I have just turned 25years old and have not had any children at all.

5 days ago (7th May 2010) I had a Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy and a D&C done.

I have been advised by my specialist that I must wait till 7th June 2010 to get my results. I just need advice as I am still bleeding constantly, i have extreme period pain on both the left and right sides of my uterus and not too sure why this is occuring.

Is this normal? Should I return to the Doctor?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you very much for your replies.

I am not 100% sure why the D&C was done. I had an ultrasound and it showed that I had an abnormal thickness of the uterus lining and when the specialist went to do an internal examination I was in a lot of pain.

The initial reason I went to the Doctors about this was because I had been bleeding for 2months straight and was taking on average 8 nurofen plus tablets a day to stop the pain. I had finally had enough, knowing it was not right and decided to go to the doctor. They then rushed me in for the procedures and for some reason I have been provided with no feedback and must wait till 7th June 2010.

During the 2month period of non stop bleeding I was taking the birth control pill Yasmin, placed on this to help ease the period pain. Ive been on Yasmin for 8years due to severe period pain since I was 17years old. I stopped taking Yasmin last night as I am still bleeding non stop and still have chronic period pains to the point i am in tears.

I will attempt to get back into the Doctors today.

Once again, thank you so much for your advice :)

Why was the D&C done? I would go back to the doctors I do not believe there should be a lot of pain with it. I had a partial hysterectomy several yrs. ago, dont recal a lot of bleeding, pain. If your body  tells you something is wrong listen to yourself. Good luck

why was a  D & C done ? was there a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy? If you have concerns than ABSOLUTELY go see your doctor! You know when something is wrong with your body! I endured the pain of endo for YEARS thinking doctors would think I was crazy or making it up. Now I am 28 and have to have a full hystorectomy because of the damage the endo has caused and there is no possibility of me ever having my own children.
