Protea had her endo surgery

Hello everyone well I had my surgery last Friday and was able to come home the day after.I didn't have a lot of endo as we thought but a lot of scar tissue and adhesions which made the surgery really complicated. My Dr has assured me that my endo will not come back and that he found it all. He also confirmed my IC again and said that I should really look at some treatment for that.He also gave me a nerve block into my spine on both sides and said that cause of all the years of pain my body reacts to any slight amount of pain.He also recommended that I seek a chronic pelvic pain clinic and do some therapy.I am really swollen.Look like I am 4 months pregnant.Really sore especially on the right side as that is where he did the most work for adhesions. He also redid my vaginal cuff from my hyst 2 years ago. That is where the most of the endo was found with a lot of adhesions too. I would totally recommend him and his hospital. It was the best experience ever if surgery can be a good experience for someone.I was told that the swelling would last about 2 weeks.I will post again after that has gone down and let you know how I am feeling. To let you know I am purple and green all over.It does look worse than it is. Thanks for all the support you have all given me.Speak again in 2 weeks.

I am sorry to inform you of this but it always comes back.  No matter how much they remove there is still some that cannot be seen with any known equipment.  Also once you have it there is no going back.  I am sorry you were lied to, and it always grows every time you have a surgery.  Many times even a complete hyst won't cure it.
I am glad your surgery went well.  I hope it is years before it comes back.  Take care and enjoy the freedom from it.

I am glad that your surgery went well.  I have not been on the endo forum in a while.  Mainly lurking over in pain management since that is what I am focusing on.  I feel like I am reading about myself reading your story.  Could you please let me know who your surgeon was?  I am so glad you did this and hope it works.  I would love to get some info from you so when you feel better feel free to send me a message!  Good Luck & Recover Soon!!
