Stage 3 endo

Hello I am new to this site and had a few quick questions.  I just had a lap done and they found stage 3 endo.  Next month when I get my peroid I will be getting a shot of lupron, which will stop my peroid for 5 months.  Then tcc on month six.  Has anyone had any luck with getting pregnant in this stage?  Apparently was ovary was in the wrong spot and the endo was around everything.  So on my sixth month do we tcc on our own or try IUI again?  She also informed me that the side effects of lupron will be like going thru menopause( night sweat, hot flashes, joint pain).  Do u think that will be able to take vitmains that would releive all those side effects?  Does anyone know what % of women get pregnant with endometriosis?  Thanks for any advice that anyone can give me.

I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 endo last August.  I completed 6 months of Lupron which ended in February.  I was put on the add-back therapy, which I had no side effects from being on "menopause".  The only thing that I had was a little bit of weight gain, and a few headaches.  I didn't have hot flashes, night sweats or anything.  You should ask your doctor if you can be put on the add-back because it totally helped.  Before trying to get pregnant, at least from what my doctor told me, you need to wait until your period returns, have one period, and then you may TTC.  Currently I'm on ortho evra so I don't get periods to let the endo grow, but in a month or two going to start trying... so hopefully the period comes back right away.
I hope this helps!!

Hi I recently had surgery and found out that I have endometriosis, and I'm on Lupron shots too. I'm getting monthly injections, and I'm on my third month. What I do know about trying to conceive after the shots is that you will have to wait for your period to return and that can take a few months. I was not very happy when I found this out. And the side effects are no fun, I have all that you mentioned, but they're totally bearable. I have read about an add-back therapy that you can take while you're on Lupron, that minimizes the hot flashes and bone density loss, but my doctor said I wouldn't need it for some reason. (Who knows why?) She just told me to take calcium supplements every day to help my bones. But you should ask your doctor for it, maybe she'll think different about it for you.
And as far as people getting pregnant that have endometriosis...I hear grim stories all the time, but one of my aunts had it really bad and she has 3 kids, and my other aunt has it and has 1kid. And people tell me all the time to not worry about getting pregnant because they know so and so who had endo and she had so many kids..etc. So I just try to think positive, you know? :)  Good luck with everything!
