I think it means its not the normal uniformed shape meaning its probably adenomyosis causing it to be enlarged. Mine said mild inhomogeneous I am not sure if that was because my ovary was attached to my uterus
I met with my GYN today, he wants to do a full hysterectomy if my cardiologist agrees. Going to do the robotic surgery since it's less invasive and then go from there to see about HRT.
It's free because I've met my deductible, and I would be free of the problems/pain of the past 20 years dealing with all this stuff...so what am I waiting for? I'm scared to death of another surgery.
A couple of things showed during my tests I've had done that I have a question on if anyone knows.
My ovaries are difficult to visualize and my L one was found near my hip area from all the tissue misplacing it; the thing that surprised me and worries me is the R ovary size increased from around 2.5 cm x 3.0cm and volume around 9cm to 3.5cm x 3.5 cm and volume 20.81 cm; what would cause the volume to increase like that?
It also says my uterus is enlarged globular inhomogenous appearing which is typical of adenomyosis...that's a given since I was dx back in 2005 with Adenomyosis, but I don't remember it ever saying inhomogenus in any of my tests before.
Let me know what happens. I am here if you need to talk
sorry to be so late responding but I thought all was fine until I got a call from the doctor's office.
He wants to see me Friday morning, because after going over everything in my file and tests he found "something" the radiologist overlooked, no clue what it is said he had to talk to me in person and wanted me to see the films.
I already have Endo/Adeno/Fibroids & Polyps so I'm not sure what is left. Most likely he's just being overly cautious and there will be nothing else wrong =)
I wish that I could help you but I cant because all I have heard is remove remove remove.. Are you in pain? Have you heard anything from your doctor?
