Utter despair

I have had problems with my period ever since puberty.  I started out missing my periods, over the years things got progressively worse.  I was first diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome due to the symptoms I was having (irregular periods, high testosterone, low energy, painful heavy periods).  Things got much worse, the pain increased, I completely lost my periods all together, finally I ended up in the emergency room.  The ER doctor said that considering my history of clean ultrasounds chances were that I had endometriosis, I needed to see a OBGYN.  I lost my insurance when I lost my job so I have not had the opportunity to do so.  My life has turned into a nightmare.  I can't have sex with my boyfriend, I have debilitating pain in my lower abdomen, stomach, back, and even my legs.  I suffer from diarrhea, non-existent periods, even bladder problems.  I feel as if this will never go away, I just don't know what to do.  This is ruining my life and I can't do anything about it.  To make things worse I keep reading stories online that other women have posted about their experiences, the majority of them seem to mirror mine... Where do I start and what can I do to get this taken care of?

If you are diagnosed and can get a prescription, you can go to the pharmaceutical company website and apply to get the medicine you need for free or low cost. You have to prove that you are low-income through taxes and pay stubs. It may take a couple of months but is well worth it. Planned Parenthood also sees people and provides birth control, which is a possible treatment, on a sliding scale although I'm not sure if they diagnos endo.

My suggestion would be to go to the ER. They can't turn you away. If you've ruptured a cyst they can and will give you surgery. It would be better to see a surgery or endo specialist about the endo, but until then push until you get help. Perhaps you could take out a loan so you can get a lap or use your next tax return to do so. Don't just let it slide because you don't want it to turn into a dangerous situation. I know it ***** to go into medical debt, but your health is worth it! I know it's scary, but keep your head up and remain calm. You'll make it through; so many of us already have!

I am so sorry about what you are going through.  It truly is a very difficult thing to be dealing with, and really takes a toll on your life.  All I can say is make sure you see a GYN, it is extremely important.  The GYN will figure out the best way to diagnose your problem, treat it, and help you relieve your pain.  Just make sure that you see a good reccomended doctor because I went through a couple not-so-up-to-par doctors and it wasted about four months of my time.

best of luck to you
