What would you do??? PLEASE

Brief History:
Sooo, I've hand endo for...15yrs now. First surgery had stage IV, went in 6mo later for another lap, and again but his time new implants on my diaphragm and 1/2 my rt ovary had to be removed. Since I've had 2 more laps and 2 beautiful kids. I'm dealing with endo, it bothers me on a day to day basis but I am still able to deal with it but am finding things are obviously getting worse. I can function except while on my cycle. My questions is do I fly down to Atlanta, GA to The Center for Endometriosis Care for probable exision of endo or do I just have a hyster here in OH done. It might sound stupid, but since I can still function, do I wait until how it used to be where it was just aweful, or just get it done now? We are done with kids, it takes too long for me to get p/g and costs us too much to get p/g. We are happy with our 2 :-) So, if you guys had the option, what would you HONESTLY do? PLEASE give me any thoughts and opinions.

I had a complete hysterectomy in April of 2010 and it was the BEST decision that I have ever made!

Ceals, I actualy did send all my medical/surgical records to CEC and the doc called me today. First we are going to figure out how much it costs, but anyways, he thinks I also have adenomyosis (sp?). He said I am a canidate for excision and also to take out my uterus but leave my ovaries. So, we'll go from there :-)

A hyster can't absolutely guarantee that the endo will cause no further problems but if you are done having kids then it may be something that will help you. Why not go the the Center for Endometriosis care and ask if they have advice on whether this is the best option, or maybe you could even get some help over the phone from them to help with your decision?

This is a very personal decision, that you and your husband need to make. You may find it helpful to write it all down on paper. Put down all of the pros and cons to each decision and then look at it together. Then you can both talk about it and decide from there. Good luck!
