Hi there,i,m also 40,have hadsevere endo for 6 yrs,3 salpingography,d&c,2 hysteroscopys, tubes removed (hydrosalpinx) and 4 laparoscopys. Just home today after having the 4th lap(yest) (worst ever)..Couldnt breathe when woke up and went into shock, thought was going to die.NEVER AGAIN!! Have had 3 failed ivf and today gyno told me 99% i have adenomyosis..:(  One choice is to have hysterectomy, the other he will discuss with my ivf specialist..Was told that his proffessor (in Poland) does treatment for Ade..and that he has very good results...so maybe there is some hope!!  I know exactly what you are or have gone thru cause so have i!!! I dont feel like i can give up yet if only i could try one more time then i know i,ve done all i can... Oh and i,ve also had 3 times endo injections(nightmare!!) Put you thru a menopause!! I have one son and should be glad(i am) but it doesnt stop me desperately wanting another one!! Did you have hysterectomy? I really feel for you its a terrible rollercoaster ride of emotions and unless you,ve been thrunit you dont realise how hard it is...(i hope i havent depressed you too much now!) :) Keep writing its nice to hear from others experiences so we know we are not alone ..

Hi -I am new to this group..  I have terrible heavy periods now which is actually becoming a problem at work so have been back to hospital. I have had endometriosis all my life..2 laps 2001 and 2007...I had 3 IVF's when i was 35/36..neg. I am now 40..I have possible diagnosis of adenomyosis recently, and  from notes from 2007 operation, they neglected to tell me that one of my tubes was blocked...they don't tell you that ivf blocks your tubes.  go to http://www.aweber.com/z/r/?7AxsDKwMtCwsbJwcrMxMtGa0TEzsHJzMjA==

I have looked at diagnosis-coil or hysterectomy.  Like you i would love to be pregnant but have been trying for 9 years!!!

Be very careful about ivf...it's very easy for friends who say it worked for them it will work for you, and for the hospitals to take your money and keep you going and hoping but i would say to anyone thinking of ivf...think carefully it's a very very tricky road and it's very easy to get caught up with the hope...I have been to hell and back-felt suicidal for years watching all my friends having children....it's a rocky journey...I am happy now...still yearn for  baby but there is life after infertility...

good luck and hope this is not depressing.
