cerviacl or uterine polyp? plssss help

hello everyone,
i'm a 30 yr old  sexually active woman. i had spotting before periods for 3 yrs now.it started after takin bc pill.i was so scared to go to doc all this time..
finally i went in n she did a pap, pelvic exam& ordered transvaginal ultrasound..doc said i have a 1cm polyp.doc said  it may not cause any problems conceivin( v never tried) & suggested i get it reamoved.i did some research & found out that uterine polyps can lead to infertility.i'm so depressed.i dont have kids yet..i want to have kids.doc said its located at the end of the uterus & could be a cervical polyp but not sure.she explained that uterus is in a pear shape & its located at the cork shape thing( almost end of uterus).in my copy of ultrasound it says ?CX POLYP. i cald her again to make sure its cervical poly but she said it is most likely cervical but could be uterine..pap was normal & she dint feel anythin during pelvic exam..she said  the brush probably dint reach farther into cervix & she did a rather quick exam because i was so scared( just 1 finger)..
i askd her & she showed the endometrium & said its clear.i need to get a hysteroscope along with g&c (not scheduled yet)
with the above information could someone plss tell me if its a cervical or uterine polyp? i'm really hoping its a cervical polyp..i'm devastated...
thankyou..

Hi, i´m interested in your reply to yum24. I´m 32 years old and married with 5-year-old twins. December 2009, I got pregnant but had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and had D&C.

Starting June 2010, I noticed that there´s some blood/spotting after having sex. It´s not so much, i notice everytime I wipe with toilet tissue after urinate. The spot will be there for usually one day after the night I had sex.

I went to see my gynae in July 2010 and she did ultrasound and took sample for pap smear test. Result came out in August 2010 and in between the time before the result came out, I didn´t have any spotting. My gynae said my pap smear result was normal and she couldn´t see anything abnormal with my cervics/womb etc.

But the spotting after sex is always there after that. And only happens after I have sex. FYI, sex is not painful at all and I have regular period with normal flow and only occasional cramps.

Reading information from the internet, I suspect that I might have the endometriosis polyps. Do I have to see my gynae again?

Hi, so sorry you're going through this.  I just had surgery on the 25th to remove mild endometriosis, uterine polyp and a cyst on my fallopian tube (laparoscopic surgery and a Hysteroscopy D&C). I'm 31 and havent' been able to conceive for over 6 yrs now.  With all of your symptoms it sounds to me like a uterine polyp. I'm no dr. by no means but I was going through the same thing. My periods were awful though.  I would have 2 one month, I'd skip a month, I'd bleed inbetween periods every month, I'd bleed during sex, after sex it was awful not to mention the pain I had because of the Endometriosis. Anyways, again I'm sorry you're going through this if you have any questions please ask, I don't mind at all. Take care, Best wishes.
