is this endometriosis. . . please help

Hi everyone, I am looking for some help. I have been experiencing pelvic pain an lower back pain for about 3 months. The pelvic pain is similar to that of a period but can vary an is either throbbing, stabbing and burning. I also feel pain where my ovaries are which burns an pulls an radiates down my leg mostly on my left side but does happen on the right side to. My lower back aches real bad and is painful most of the time. The pain in my legs is on the front an feels like their burning and abit tender to touch, my periods are quite heavy an painful but always thought that was normal, if there's any advice I could be given I would appreciate it very much I am from the uk to.

If your dr is not listening to you FIND A NEW ONE!!

I'm sure you've searched online now that there is something to be done for endo...whether your dr is able to do it is something different. Even if he doesn't have mastery to treat endo (or whatever he presumes your problem may be) he should at least give more info like: why he thinks you may have these problems??

If I were you I'd hit the hills running, health anxiety or not. That diagnosis does not exempt you from having other problems as your dr tries or hopes so. I've learned that we MUST be our own advate....as no one will.

I'm interestd in knowing what happens to both of you, I'm in the same boat.

I also have health anxiety so I feel like doctors are pushing me away all the time too. I got an IUD at 19 becase I couldn't take the side effects of brith control (already doctors think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not!) I knew heavy bleeding and cramps were suppose to occur with an IUD but it only got worse not better. Again, my dr thought I was exaggerating and it was just caused by the IUD. The pain would be so bad I couldn't stand up, it hurt everywhre right into my legs. I especially got sharp shooting unbareable pain when on my period and passing gas or bowel movements, pretty embarrassing to talk about. I don't have pain during sex though except in certain positions where my cervix is directly hit, like woman on top, not sure if thats what they mean when they say that endomtriosis causes pain during sex? Otherwise, I have most of the other symptoms.

5 years later, im now 24, nd I was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain. They found a 4 cm ovarian cyst filled with blood. At frist the doctor made it sound normal, but reading up on it, it seems it is likely endometrioma, a cyst caused by endometriosis! Yet my gyno insists I shouldnt worry because there is nothing he can do if i have endo anyway, so he prescribed diane-35 (hormones) and left it at that. They also took out y IUD and even though I have less severe menstrual pain, I have more general cramping and soreness at any time in my cycle, s weird.I was also treated for PID "just in case".

I really feel no one is taking me seriously, it seems pretty clear that I have endo symtoms and complications.

Awww good luck with your surgery hope you find out if it is endo that is causing your pain. I really am stuck on what to do because I suffer from health anxiety so everytime I go to see my doctor I feel like their just pushing me away so I don't want to keep going back but I am in so much pain an have been for about 3 to 4 months I really don't no what to do.

Sounds like endo to me! I have very similar symptoms (menstrual feeling pelvic pain, heavy irregular periods, leg pain, back pain, nausea). My symptoms started over a year ago thoug but they've gradually progressed.

I have yet to be diagnosed, as the only way of true diagnosis is via laparoscopy, but my gyno thinks its endo causing these wonderful symptoms of mine!

I'm scheduled for the laparoscopy in 2 days...wish me luck! I will update.
