pain in left ovary area

I'm 51 and have been having pain in my left ovary area for 3 months - I have had a vaginal ultrasound and 2 ct scans and nothing turns up - my gyno doctor told me the pain could be gastro related however I have had a colonscopy in April and they did a ct scan and nothing turned up - I have been noticing the pain seems to start with ovulation (very painful for 2-3 days) and then let up - gets worse during my period - could this be endometriosis? - I have never had problems before however my sister had a hysterctomy at 39 due to endometriosis. Thanks for any help!!

Does it hurt when you have a bowel movement? Just asking because of the colonoscopy.

I had a recto-vaginal nodule that was not detected during a ultrasound, colonoscopy, MRI or ct scan
