stressed out

Hi I'm 19 years old.on April 26 I had a lap and d n c done..I was diagnosed with stage four endo and the Dr said that I have about a 40% chance of having kids..we decided to put me on birthcontrol in hopes to stop the endo from growing and to help get my estrogen levels back up..after my surgery I asked for midol lol cos the cramping..since then I've had cramping every single day..I Still have sharp pains in my lower right stomach and around my belly button..also today is the 12 day I've been bleeding..I didn't have any bleeding after my lap like she said I would..I called the Dr and they said it was normal..I don't think it is..also I've had horrible headaches hot flashes and feeling nausea all the time..any idea on why I'm having all these side affects.

I would try coming off the pill for a couple of weeks to see if it stops. Then try again. Sometimes our body does weird stuff. However I would also go back in to let her know what is happening. You may need to try a different pill.

Sometimes we feel the pain on the opposite side which is normal. Weird but very common to happen.

I am reading this book called Endometriosis and Pelvic pain by Dr.Cook I would recommend this book to anyone with Endo.

Welcome to the Endometriosis Forum I will do my best to help you out as a survivor, sufferer and an advocate of this disease. I research everything when it comes to Endo and I have been battling since I was 13 not diagnosed until I was 27 and I am now 36.

Okay so I will tell you right away there is no way the doctor can tell you those statistics. Everyone is different. There are women that have stage I and can't have children. You will not know 100% until you try.

I had Stage IV and I had my daughter, although it took almost 2 yrs I had her and I had everything wrapped around my uterus. My doctor was shocked that I had a child. I would try not to think about that until the time comes. There are many women who have conceived with Stage IV.

The most important question is did they remove all the Endo and was it Excised not lasered?

The emotions you are feeling are normal as they would have moved and messed with the ovaries making your hormones whacky. It will take a bit for it to come back to normal. If there really is a normal when you have Endo.

I was on the low dose BCP for 7 yrs after my first surgery and it really helped with the emotions and stopping the period. BCP however do not put Endo at bay it will grow regardless however if you had excision and it was done by an Endo specialist your chances of the pain being reduced is 75-100% if laser your chances of relief are not that great.

Did you start the BCP already? Sometimes the BCP causes sharp pains like that, or it could be just the healing process inside from adhesion's forming.

It has only been 12 days and if you had stage IV and they removed it all it was probably extensive surgery. My surgery was 5 hours long and it took at least 2 weeks for me to be able to go back to work and even then the pain didn't really subside for about a month after surgery.

The bleeding depends on if you took the pill right away. Some people bleed a lot after surgery but if it is heavy bleeding for 2 weeks than I don't think that is normal.
