Additional Tests/now have results

pvn
Report came back from the Immunologist today. Interesting findings...a little scarey, but hopefully not too serious or soomething that can't be handled.

In addition to chronic active EBV, tests results show:

Elevated WBC, IgG,IgE,(don't know if these are same IgG and IgE as EBV tests...they were done seperately, though),Sed-Rate,Neutrolphilis (misspelled probably).

She said we can rule out allergy problem and immune problem. She is sure there is something glandular or endocrine...with association with the thyroid involved.

She said she is concerned and wants me to go to an ENR (the surgeon type because something is probably going to have to come out) and a good hematologist/oncologist.

Has anyone else experienced this? Perhaps these are issue(s) sepoerate from EBV.

Oh boy. It sure is a bumpy ride sometimes!

When are your appointments??  Are the chronic EBV and the other issues related in some way? Or does the doc think they are differant?

So you have an elevated sed rate now ? That indicates inflammation and normally people who have CFS have a low sed rate... at least until their adrenals can't take it anymore or they have an overlapping autoimmune condition.

The elevated WBC (white cell count) usually indicate an infection, but an increased WBC is also seen in other conditions, including inflammatory conditions. Increased neutrophils are seen in patients who have inflammatory disorders, stress, rheumatic fever or cancer (leukemia or Hogdkin's).

I would have to know which test your physician ordered for the IgG and IgE.

What are your symptoms now ? And did your physician check your thyroid ?
