Ebv linked to Hodgkin’s lymphoma

I was diagnosed with ebv a couple of months ago. My doctor really didn’t give me any info on it. So I googled. And everywhere says that Hodgkin’s lymphoma is caused by ebv 50% in all cases. So I’m super freaked out about it! I mean if I was told that I had a 50% chance of winning a lottery ticket evereryday! Has anyone heard of this? Have you talked to your doctor about it? Should I be worried?

That means that 50% of HL cases were positive to EBV, so there's a connection  - not that 50% of people with EBV get HL. There is still a very low chance of things progressing into Hodgkins Lymphoma. Over 90% of the world population has a strain of EBV.
