Ive had ebv for 11 weeks does anyone have headaches and ear pressure I can't get it to go away?

Hi, I was tested in Feb because I was very ill and they said my EBV test was high. He said I did NOT have Mono but that I may be having a flare -up?? I dont get it -i dont think i ever had Mono before (Im only 33) i'd think i'd remember being so ill. Anyways I have had a crap load of issues with my ears. . . ringing, whistling, buzzing and sometimes i can't hear out of my ears (one at a time) it's so strange -im glad i saw your post. It's been almost 6 months and still having problems. I cant understand how a "flare-up" could last this long.

Well, I guess it's good to rule out things.  Your doctor was probably right about it being EBV along with something else.  Either way, it sure doesn't sound fun!   :-(   Hope all goes well.

I went and failed all tests the rheumatologist gave me. He said Fibromyalgia but also said it's not acting alone (symptoms). He did some more tests and i failed them as well. Im going into the hospital saturday night 8/28 for MRI of brain for Lupus or Multiple Sclerosis. I am completely dumbfounded at this point.
I'll keep ya posted and should have my report tuesday afternoon.

Yea that would be nice. . . i never been sick for 6 months straight b4, im always so healthy besides sinus issues ( I DO live in sinus valley, lol). I will keep everyone posted on my appt wed. Hopefully i'll get some answers.

Yeah, it seems kind of weird, but I think EBV can trigger a lot of things, just because it can really get your immune system so worn down.  Good to hear that hopefully you're on the right path though!

LMAO Im sorry.  Didn't think you would have, was just rambling. Well my PCP called and they are sending me to Rheumatology Aug 18th. . . he's suspects Lupus! After researching all my symptoms I have to think he may be on to something finally. . . . . i'll post after dr appt and tell what happened. (and Lupus CAN be triggered by EBV I found out).  Wierd huh??

Yeah, I've never heard of EBV causing those types of things!  Not to say it can't but I would kind of doubt it.  And sorry, but I don't know ANYTHING about all those symptoms, so I can't help you there!!

Thanks for the info, but Im really scared that maybe it isn't EBV causing my problems at all. . . .idk and Dr's dont have the answers. Im extremely fatigued, muscles aches menstrual is very late with swollen abdomin (but neg preg tests) and im spotting. I am so confused about all my symptoms. . . i even had swollen ankles and 2 days ago my breasts were leaking (sorry if TMI) but im upset that no one can help me. . . doesnt sound like EBV to me. . .

Hi Kimberlysue1!  A flare-up, or re-activation (relapse), can last a very long time if you don't take any steps to help your body fight it off.  Are you trying to get more rest than usual?  Also, if possible, reducing stress levels may help as well (I know, easier said than done!).
