Question about Mono, since it's related to EBV....please.

Question about Mono, since it's related to EBV. I know someone who has recently been told they have EBV. Of course, like everyone, we all know that one person, who, even if they see the results for themselves, will say, "No, you don't. You don't have that". "They are wrong". "You probably have, this, this or that, You don't have all the symptoms of it." Or "EBV doesn't have this or that, that you have".....We probably all know a relative, friend or acquaintance that is like that; that says stuff like that.

Anyway, the person I know is hearing all of that from someone who thinks they know more than the doctor. (Well to be honest, some do, ha ha. Well, not really, but many have found their own diagnosis by research, when doctors have not. Then with persistance further testing & an in-depth look into what the ppl find, they are diagnosed finally with what they found).

Well....not in this person's case, that person literally always knows more than the doctors! I'm very serious! I could tell you something's that you'd be like, "What!!!".

Okay, well, anyway, here is the information & question: my friend was told by this person that with Mono (my friend has been told by the doc she has Mono), that she does not need to rest. She said with Mono or any other health condition or any disease, that Rest is the worst thing in the world that you can do! She told her to get out, no matter how horrible she feels (she has a few other things going on besides mono & ebv). Her acquaintance told her that she needs to keep busy and get out there and do stuff. She also said that rest will only make her worse.

Like I said, my friend has a few other medical issues going on. She feels worse getting out and about. I told her that I thought that rest was better for ppl with Mono. (It's not like she has a crap load of money to be out doing things all the time, anywa. Plus, she told me, that she rather enjoys being 1at home). I get her. I told her that I am exactly the same way. We have much in common there & with health problems. I'm very lucky at the moment that my husband likes staying home as well & watching tv, ha ha. We may have other issues that would probably cause a divorce or whatever, but it's definitely not from me staying home so much from my pain & symptoms.

Well, anyway, I wondered if my friend's acquaintance was correct that rest is the worst thing in the world for her Mono (among other health problems), but really just for the Mono part of her issues??

Thank you.
