Hi!
I am new here, but my symptoms not :(
I have been diagnosed with chronic lyme disease almost 2years ago with bartonella/babesia. My cellular activity against borrelia is positive do as for yersinia and EBV! So I have a suspectible reactivated EBV too (however this test is almost a year old, but I am still experiencing the same symtpoms).
I do not know which of my symptoms could be related to lyme, or EBV, but what my problem is that I have a strange pressure-like headache along with brain fog that is not really specific to lyme. When I do an antibiotic treamtment, this symptom slowly makes worse, and after the antibiotics is stopped it goes a lot-lot worse.
This "seizure"-like pressure/headache comes and goes every day. Sometimes it is very mild, but sometimes it hits that I feel like I am going to be crazy, or die, or my brain collapses. This comes in waves within a minute, and keeps this "acute" phase for about an hour, then slowly relieves. If I am on a bad day then this wave repeats every hour, or every 2hours, and goes along with thinking difficulties, little speech difficulties, irritation, and nervousness. If it is very severe then also heat flashes and sweats comes too with this waves.
This really feels that my head is swelling. Actually I hear at the start some crackling noise in the back of my skull (like the brain tissues are expanding). Does this familiar to you? Can this symptom be because of reactivated EBV? If yes, how could I decrease it? Do you have any idea why this gets worse after antibiotic treatment?
I have a lot of other symptoms too: cold extremities, numbness, muscle twitching, palpitations, sometimes chest pain, reflux, gastritis, abdominal pain, ringing in the ears, etc...
Thank you in advance!
