reactivated mono with very high titer numbers

I am 25 and I am having problems with mono. I've been tested 20 or 30 times for mono since 2000, but I didn't test positive until recently. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2002, and I have always had symptoms of fibromyaIgia--which is why they tested me for EBV so often. I first tested positive in May of this year.  I was tested again in August and was told I had reactivated mono.  Two weeks ago I had EBV titers and it came back positive again.  The doctor seemed surprised that my numbers were so high.

EBV Ab VCA, IgM     8  normal   Negative is 120

EBV Ab VCA, IgG     2934     high     positive is >120

EBV Nuclear Antigen Ab, IgG     534     positive is >120

The fibromyalgia plus the mono is killing me.  Am I going to have mono forever?  Is there anything I can do to try and get over it?  I also have a hematologist because I have a chronically high wbc (only slightly though 14,000 to 20,000 most of the time).  Should I consult the hematologist about the virus?  Should I consult my rheumatologist?  Is there any other type of doctor I should see?  Any advice on how to deal would be appreciated as well.

I am still in the stage of finding out what is really wrong with me, but I thought I would chime in with my 2 cents.  My titers came back extremely high, in fact over twice where yours are at, so I understand the anxiety it can cause.  I have learned through research and help on this forum that most General Practitioners don't have a clue as to what to do with the numbers or the patients.  I am not putting down your doctor, but I have a great regular doctor who is a complete idiot when it came to CEBV.

I have an appointment with a Rheumatologist who stated he has a lot of experience dealing with CEBV.  In my opinion I would consult a Rheumatologist, but I would also mention my results to my Hematologist.

PlateletGal seems to have a ton of information about all of this, and she gave me some great links to information that really helped.  Here is the link to that post:

I would just copy the links for you but she had some useful information along with the links.
