Numbness in leg/penis/back

At about the age of 35 (30 years ago) I began to experience difficulty getting and maintaining an erection.  About the same time I noticed a decreased sensation or numbness in my penis, which has further added to the difficulty in obtaining and sustaining an erection and also enjoying intercourse.  I also have numbness and intermittent tingling on my right side running from my buttocks down to just below my right knee on the outer side of my leg.  There is no pain, just numbness.  My nurologist does not know what has caused the condition.

Viagra / Cialis helps with an erection some of the time, but I can not maintain it to ejaculation.  I can ejaculate by masterbating, but can only get a strong erection about 30% of the time.   Morning erections are usually strong and lasting however.  My blood sugar levels are normal and I am very healthy and power walk six miles most days.

As an aside, I have some numbness in my middle back and can scratch it with vigor without any discomfort or pain.  Could this be realted to my other situation?  What are my options or treatment with these two problems?

Hi. I've got exactly the same problem. Started having problems with erection last year and also intermittent numbness in my right thigh. I believe it might be related to spine injury I had about 6 years ago. I was doing deadlift and something snapped in my lower back. I couldn't walk properly for a week or so. I never went to check my spine. I will go to neurologist/chiropractor to double check. Did you manage to solve your issue?

Have you investigated gluten intolerance/sensitivity? Some people have neuro symptoms from this. Enterolab.com has a test where you could rule it out fairly easily. Bit of a long shot, but afer so many years, what's left....? Good luck!
