SSRI induced ED

I am a 32 year old male who had no history of ED ever. However for the past 3 months I was prescribed Celexa 10 mg to curb general anxiety and anxiety during sex. It has done a good job in curbing my general anxiety however performance anxiety during sex has only seen moderate improvement.

However it has taken a big toll on my LIBIDO...I can't get a second erection easily after the first one and if I do it is
generally weak. I was told to downgrade to a 5 mg celexa which has not been a big help either. I have been to a urologist lately who has put me on 25 mg ZOLOFT and prescribed me levitra to pump up my sex drive...

I am wondering is all this necessary?? I went from no ED to ED and from no pills to taking 2 pills (zoloft and levitra)
and feeling very different as I don't get rapid erections during intercourse.

Can this all go away and can I be myself if I stop these pills. Any help will be very highly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Sam

Get off anti depressants now. they will ruin you forever. Your erectile problems will continue to get worse and may not reverse itself when you discontinue the meds as in my case. There are better alternative meds for anxiety that are non addictive such as gabapentin(off label) Sadly, doctors are unaware of the high percentage of sexual probliems caused by antidepressants

ConcernedSam,

I have had a very similar situation as you have.  Except I havent taken as many prescriptions from the doctor.  Obviously the doc isn't doing the right thing for you, because your symptoms havent improved, but rather went the opposite route.

Surprisingly, my solution for the problem is quite unconventional from the normal ED person.  I stopped searching for solutions after coming across a type of ring that has eliminated all use of drugs for ED.  It even reduces the smell.  I don't know if Im allowed to put links on this site.. but you should google OQ Ring and look at their site.

Let me know if it helps!
