Teenage Erection Problem

A while ago my boyfriend and i started trying to have sex, but he couldn't keep a hard on. We are both 17 and he exercises daily, doesn't smoke or take drugs and isn't a massive drinker. He can usually sustain a hard on during oral, but these days even that is a bit hit and miss. There was a few months when it was really bad an he would have to try for up to an hour to get it up. He keep's referring to it as 'broken' and seems to think Viagra will help. I have asked him if he thinks it is stress related or psychological and he didn't think so. I also asked him if he is gay or bi which he denied. He does take protein supplements, but these aren't steroids so shouldn't affect his performance. He has also suggested sex without a condom, as when we do manage to have sex he finds it hard to ejaculate as the condom pulls his foreskin down. In the last few days he has also developed soreness around the bell end. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am going to try and persuade him to go to a doctor about testosterone and cholesterol levels, but he is generally very healthy. Thanks.
