Weird recent erection issue

Ok, so I found over the last week or so i'd get erected but then after a few mins or 10 mins it would start going down but then i'd manage to get it back up completely again very very fast but the last few days it just goes down after a few minutes and it's hard to get an erection again and this is while watching porn and things. My girlfriend is currently away for work and will be back in a few weeks time. A few months ago a doctor told me my cholesterol levels were a bit over but 4 weeks ago I was checked for cholesterol and blood sugar and things and apparently it was all fine, but this is a different doctor to the one that did tell me my cholesterol levels were a bit up. I have been told recently I apparently have chronic fatigue as the last 2 months i've been very under and tired a lot. I am on anti-depressants for depression but it never has given me issues with my erections before. I'm pretty worried about this issue as i'm only 25 yrs old also.

I tell my friends fearlessly as some people may seem it as awkward. I am an 18 year old guy , i just hav a confusion for which my friends keep on teasing me. They know that i hav a habit to masturbate once in day atleast for 3 times. They tell me if you do it more than enough then , the girl that you'll marry in future will never give birth to a child, and they say you will have to adopt. I actually dont believe in what they say....errrr.....? WELL.....is it true....please answer my question. please tell me that if i masturbate too much will my wife never give birth to children?

Hi there!

Erectile dysfunction can develop in young adults due to a variety of causes. Psychological stress, performance anxiety, depression, neurogenic disorders peyronie's disease, body image issues, medications, alcohol, smoking, drugs/medications, hormonal imbalance, radiation therapy, kidney failure, metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, prostatitis, urethritis etc. just to name a few. Anxiety and stress play an important role in the development of erectile dysfunction; and is the most common possible cause. At a primary level, I would suggest being a bit relaxed and working on the psychological factors. You could also see a psychotherapist/ behavioral therapist for the same. It might also be beneficial to get rid of factors like smoking/ alcohol/ drugs, if involved. In case this doesn’t work, or you have difficulty controlling anxiety; I would suggest seeing your primary care physician for an evaluation of the above mentioned causes and appropriate specific treatment.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
