20 year old trying to lose body fat, need help

hello i'm 20 years old and i'm trying to lose body fat. i've been hitting the gym every day and doing 60 minutes of moderate workout with my pulse at around 180 and also strength training. my workout consists of walking for 15 minutes at 4.5 mph on the treadmill, then getting on the exercise bike for naother 15 min at a high setting and keeping it going at about 23-30 mph, then i get back on the treadmill for another 15 min, then back on the exercise bike, and i throw in weight training inbetween on some days. it's been about 3 weeks and i haven't seen any changes. i've been watching what i eat as well, i've been getting around 1500-1600 calories a day of lowfat foods like rice, veggies, fruit, and lean chicken/fish. i have not seen much if not any results and it's starting to frustrate me, is there something i'm missing with this diet thing? currently i'm 140 pounds and 5'10, i'm pretty sure my body fat percentage is around 16-19%.

Hello!

At a BMI of 20.1 you are in normal limits. Remember till BMI 25 it is normal.

When you attain an age of 20 years, this is an indication that your long bones have fused and you will have no further growth and all the calories you are taking are balancing.

I would rather suggest you to eat healthy and take around 1800-2000 calories and continue your activities and do not try to lose any further.

Take care!

Hi,

I found that there is an intrinsic link to my mental state and the speed at which i loose the body fat i have lost so far.
If you can get your hands on a copy of "the gabriel method" - it's a great read and there is a wonderful meditation cd (about 20 minutes while going to sleep) that works wonders. It's lowered my resting heart rate too cause there's no frutstration about the results.

Hope this helps. You seem to be doing all the active stuff and food stuff... there may just be that mindset shift that's beginning to happen. :)

Could you please give me your BMI? I'm not used to pounds and inches. Thanks.
