Can anyone give me certain excerises to lose weight in the flanks?

I just rejoined a gym today. I am really wanting to concentrate on do excerises to tone my flanks. I'm really skinny around my ribs and for the most part my stomach. For some reason all the fat has gone to my flanks (muffin top, fat back). Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to tone my mid area to get rid of this unsightly lard. Thank you in advance. :o)
