Could someone give me some tips on staying fit?

I am 17 year old female, I've gained around 10 pounds in the past year since I moved to another county (I'm now 160 pounds and I'm 5'5") and I would love to get back on track with my health. I used to weigh almost 190 pounds in middle school but thanks to JROTC, I lost a little over 30 pounds but since I've moved, I'm not in JROTC anymore and I spend 90% of my time at home because I babysit my little sister and I take my high school courses online. Recently I have been taking my dogs for a walk every evening for about 30 minutes but I just don't feel like its enough. Eating healthy is difficult because I don't buy the groceries in my household and I feel like my mom doesn't support the fact I want to eat healthier foods. I will be starting my first job tomorrow and I plan on using some of my money to buy my own groceries. I don't know what else I should do. Can someone help me ????

What was it you did in JROTC that helped?  I assume it included an exercise program.  If you liked that program, why did you stop?  You don't need to be in the program to do the exercise?  You're also 17 -- you have a ton of energy at that age and walking your dogs is obviously not exercise for a 17 year old.  Run, bicycle, join an exercise class, do yard work, get out and move!

And did you mean you moved to another country, not county?  Most of the world loves soccer -- do you?
No, I moved to another COUNTY. Yes, JROTC has an exercise program. I mentioned that I take my classes online now...therefore I cannot take JROTC. I don't have a bicycle. I live in a small town and the closest gym is an hour away. I don't have my own car and I don't have a drivers license, only a permit. I cant exactly go wherever I please.
And its not that I have to be in JROTC to do the exercise, its more that I've lost motivation because I'm not with my friends anymore and I don't have any friends where I currently live.
Nobody can give you motivation but yourself.  You've given a lot of excuses but not reasons.  It sounds like your problem isn't exercise, it's that you're feeling sad and lonely because of the move.  Time will probably fix that, but if it's insurmountable, that might indicate you're depressed.  You're really young -- you can walk for hours if you wanted to.  You can do anything at that age you want to do.  The problem sounds more like you don't really want to do anything, which, again, means you're feeling very sad and maybe depressed in your new life.  Not going to school physically makes it even harder, because it makes it hard to make friends and school usually provides a lot of opportunity for organized exercise.  Maybe you need to talk to your family and figure this out in a way that works for both you and them, some kind of compromise.
I've been taking medication for that since I was 14. I know that its probably part of the reason why I lost motivation. I've tried speaking with my mother about it before but she doesnt really say anything about it---I appreciate the honest/blunt answers you've given me. Thats the kind of stuff that motivates me. Thank you
I just read the post and I understand what you are saying. I agree with the answer as well. You have to take charge of your own life. If you want to get out of your situation you have to force yourself to get going. I have had chronic pain for a long time and finally got to the gym after having several injuries. I wouldn't have done it because I didn't think I could . I got a personal trainer and he really helped. If someone won't drive the 1 hour to the gym and back you could take a bus or Uber. It depends on money. If you don't have the money there are always exercises you can do at home. I can suggest some but it would be great to get out of the house either by yourself or better with a friend, neighbor anyone. It is helpful to get started. But I got started just walking. I walked around the neighborhood. I got up to two miles after a while. Then I started climbing the stairs at the school. You can do anything if you want to. If there is a mall walk around the mall. Also, you can buy hand weights to use at home. Or bands to use. There are all kinds of fitness band workouts. You can buy a DVD and work out with those as well. Anything to get you moving. Also, even isometric exercises like squats, leg lifts, etc. One other thing to think about is do you have hypothyroidism? That will make you tired, depressed and unmotivated. It starts when you are a child or teenager. It can be genetic or not. You can also get hypothyroid when you become menopausal later. You can get your TSH level tested and see if you are too high then you need thyroid (synthroid) supplementation. I lost 20 lbs after getting on thyroid meds and changing my diet but then I go to the gym too. It is all a lifestyle change not for losing weight for a few days to look good then rebound and go back to it. You have to decide what you like better?
kind regards,
