Help lossing weight

I am over weight and am looking for help. I try to eat healthy but sometimes I can't seem to eat the right foods. I am taking Zantrex 3 and work out 3 times a week by playing tennis or doing yoga on the wii. I need something to help jump start this weight loss. I haven't really lost any weight in 2 weeks maybe 3 or 4 lbs. I have dropped my calorie intake to about 1800. I need help because it is affecting my families lives by me not being able to do things like ride bikes with out getting out of breath.

Hello!

Avoid fried food, fast food, junk food, desserts and sodas completely from your diet. What you eat is important; try food which is filling and rich in fibre and very low in fat and make a proper diet plan with the help of a dietician. It is fine if you limit your total calorie intake to 1800 but see that you have the required vitamins, minerals, protein intake regularly.

Cardio for 1 hour regularly with the above lifestyle changes will make your lose weight.

Cardio can be treadmill, elliptical, running, jogging, swimming, skipping, cycling etc.

Take care!

Have you thought about getting a heart rate monitor? I forming recently and after entering all my details such as age and weight it calculates the calories I'm burning, even if I just go for a walk.

When I play on the wii it doesn't really seem to use that many calories compared to just walking briskly.

Hi there,
I have found that the only true way to lose weight is by calorie restriction and portion control. I know that the conventional wisdom is that people should have 6 mini meals throughout the day but that only looks good on paper. In reality, the meals that people end up having are anything but mini! I find it helpful to have a filling breakfast like oatmeal that can hold me over all the way to dinner, if need be. By all means havea light lunch if you feel hungry but keep the portion small. The oatmeal is not just filling but can be very fulfilling when you add berries, nuts, almond meal and other goodies with healthy omega-3 fats. Also, if you can tolerate spicy food that is the way to go since spices will rev up your metabolism which will help with weight loss.  Hope this helps.
