Hi everyone,
I have been working out for many years at the gym, usually on an off periods...my off period has usually been that I don't go to the gym for a couple of months due to weather (I can't seem to get myself motivated in winter) or if I've been super busy. So I'm used to working out, and sometimes I'm more fit than other times, but in general I'm pretty used to working out.
What I've noticed about myself is that when I do exercises involving my legs, my legs will get muscular pretty fast. This is NOT the case for my arms, abs, etc. so I don't know why that is. Anyway, I just started running outdoors and indoors to train for a half marathon next year. I love it! But I seem to have gained weight and I don't know why.
My legs are definitely more muscular and very firm, but I don't know HOW much weight that could possibly be. I am usually around 141-142 lbs with proper diet and exercise, and now I can't get below 147. What's the deal? I don't know if I'm really eating THAT much differently since I've been running.
Could it be possibly that I can't lose this weight because I am just gaining the weight in muscle?
