Skin itches when I do cardio

Anytime I do any type of cardio or any activity that makes me sweat, my thighs become insanely itchy!! It's only on my legs and sometimes my forehead. It's almost like I'm allergic to my own sweat? Has anyone else had this problem or know what's going on?

You can be allergic to your own sweat, absolutely! It's not that uncommon, my father in law and my wife both have allergies to their own sweat. I get itchy sometimes when I do intense cardio. My father in law breaks out with a rash. Try changing up the type of material of clothing you wear and see if a different type of material will absorb the sweat better. If you try wrapping a damp cloth for a headband it could help to keep your sweating to a minimum, keeping your head cool with a damp cloth could help. Just a suggestion.

One of the theories of it is that the person has an unknown food allergy that causes buildup of histamine in thebody's cells and tissues.  Upon exercising, circulation is greatly increased, and all of the accumulated histamine is released at once, causing the symptoms.

I am a Registered Nurse, & my daughter would have the same thing _& even get hives. I always suggested to her to take some Benadryl, until one time she went walked with me. She came back to her car & was wheezing, red, short of breath, then I got her into her car,_& she was crumping on me & I called the ambulance got her to hospital ER. She barely had a blood pressure, she was in & out of  consciousness. They started 2 Iv's gave her some Epinephrine because she was having anaphylaxis from exerciseing. Do now she has to take a Claritin before she does any exercises & now carries an EPI pen with her. And she has to have a friend be with her., anytime. She almost died from the anaphylactic reaction she had from exercise induced anaphylaxis!

Look up excercise-induced itching, exercise-induced urticaria, or excercise-induced hives.  It's a thing.
