Slimming down thighs & General exercise questions!

Hi!
    I am a 16 year old female who is at a normal healthy weight. However, for a while ive been trying to figure out ways to slim down my thighs. For a while, I did squats and lunges and realized I was only building more muscle on my thighs, and that's not what I want. I want to slim them up, then in the future decide on whether I want to tone them with a bit of muscle.

    Currently I want to walk for 40-75 minutes a day with a couple of intervals of running, I was wondering if that may help my thighs slim up, or just my calves?
I ask this because whenever I walk (usually 4.5-5mph) I don't really feel a burn in my thighs, only slightly in my calves. My walking is also persistent and I don't take breaks during exercise.

Anyways, are there any suggestions on how I can SLIM down my thighs, and any confirmation that walking will indeed slim my thighs as well as my calves?

You need to track your calorie intake, take a slight deficit ( up to 500kcal) and eat as clean as possible, because I see that you have a problem with additional bodyfat, and when you pump the muscle beneath and the bf stays the same, the thigh only grow bigger. About exercise, light cardio (walk) is a great idea, keep doing it, but when it comes to heavy squats and lunges in your case I would do that with smaller weights or with no weights at all, but with a concentration on glutes, that meaning it will be the best to do the isolation exercise for the glutes, so you don't gain any more kvadriceps. Also, if you already have a big kvadriceps, it will be good to start doing ex for hamstrings, prior to lunges and squats. That will give you smaller thighs and a rounded butt. Good luck
