Swollen Left Arm

I just started lifting again 4 days ago for the first time in months. I worked out my biceps mainly. Over the next 2 days, my muscles were sore as expected. However, on the 4th day, i noticed my left bicep swollen, and bigger than it was the day before. The muscle is still sore, and part of my forearm is also swollen a considerable amount. These swellings are only on my left arm, even though I used the same weight/reps/sets for each arm. Is this cause for concern? How should i treat it, and how long will it take to heal?

i think i just ran into the same problem...

i was working out triceps and shoulders one night... it didnt even seem like heavy waits... dont recall really forcing any more weights that i could handle... its been a long time since ive been in the gym so i have been taking it easy...

the last excersise of the night was abs... the one where u hold your self up with your forearms let your legs hang then raise them up to work out the abs...

well that night my left arm got really swollen... like really bad... my forearm is also swollen... it doesnt hurt... i can move it fine but it does feel a little tight... elbow is swollen to,,, like its filled with liquid or something..

tonight while trying to work out... it felt like it was swellign so i called it quits and left...

did you ever consult your doctor about that left arm...

and if so what did he say ???

i dont think thats a muscle tear.. you see even a small muscle tear creates this colored thing in the skin above the teared area.. what exercises did you used? enough recovery? lifetyle? u see maybe u had done something that could have been the cause of the swelling.. exercise cant give that really.. sore is normal.. but i dont know about the swelling.
