Tingling near ball of foot

A week ago I was playing with my son when suddenly I got a pain in my foot about an inch below the ball of the foot. The pain went away the next day but since then I have a tingling senation (the first couple of times I thought I must have tape on my foot) when I strectch the arch of my foot. It doesn't hurt anymore but the tingling is really annoying and doesnt seem to be subsiding. Any ideas as to what I might have pulled/torn/strained etc. in there?
Thanks

I wasn't wearing shoes when it happened as I was playing with my children. I almost feel like I need a half hour to stretch
and get ready before I can play with them :) The tingling is
still there but is slightly better. Hopefully it will go away in a few weeks.
Thanks

were you wearing sneakers at the time of this tingling?? i know a lot has to do with arch support and sneakers.  I used to take a weightlifting class and my feet would almost feel like someone was stabbing me.. It was because the arch support in my sneakers had worn out.

If it isnt because of your shoes, then you probably just over stretched a ligament.

I hope you feel better!
