When I don't have the time to go to the gym, or when it's too late to go but I still wanna work out, I often put together a crossfit-inspired training session, all based on body movements so no equipment is necessary. Usually interval based. Or, like the other day I did one that was a "ladder" style of 21 reps then 15 reps, then 9 reps of three or four different movements (i.e., 21 squats, push-ups, sit ups, lunges, then 15 of each, then 9 of each) and to finish the ladder as fast as I could. It's surprising how much butt kicking that sort of short burst of activity can provide. There are also apps for this and most crossfit gyms post their workouts of the day (WODs) on their websites.
the nike training club app is awesome (and free) all sorts of different 15, 30, 45, and hour workouts. that and a little running. either that or im not sure how far your gym is but ride a bike there if possible. i did that one summer and lost like 15 lbs.
Is it possible to join a gym closer to you? That will make it a lot easier :) if not it helps to look at YouTube videos ( i like livestrong woman, blogilates and Tara stiles ) or look for apps ( I like nike training club)
Hope this helped !
Hey! I recently started exercising at home because I do not have the time to go to a gym whatsoever. Luckily for me I found this girl on YouTube, Joanna Soh, and follow her video exercises. Check her channel out and tell me if it works for you ;)
If you were enrolled in a gym and had your exercise routines, follow those and mix them up with some of hers, if not and you are just starting, I recommend to begin exercising 3 times a week and go from there with light cardio at first.
Do not forget to warm up for 2 to five mins before starting exercising and to stretch after! And as you are already home, take a hot shower when your body is still warm, it will help to relax your muscles.
Please tell me how all went!
