Hi again,

My stools have become lighter at times as said more of an orangey colour and yes i have been feeling nausea's on the odd occasion. I am at present going through the menopause so im not sure if i have fever or if it's just hot flushes. I keep waking up extreemly hot and wet with sweat.

Many thanks for your advice. I will see my doctor when im not working.

Hi,

By change in color, do you mean that they have become more whitish? Do you have trouble flushing effectively?

Do you have symptoms such as low-grade fever? Any nausea?

Based on the information you have given so far, it appears that you could have an inflammation of the gall bladder.
If the color of your stool has faded closer to white, you need to meet your physician at the earliest to evaluate causes of gall bladder obstruction. This could be gallstone or some pathology of the liver.

Right-sided pain can indicate the involvement of the liver, pancreas, gall bladder, or stomach.

Since the functioning of all these organs are vital to the normal functioning of the human body, it will be best if you follow up with your doctor and, at the least, have a blood test done for your WBC count and Liver function.

Do meet your physician and have this evaluated before any travel.

Thank you for your advice.

My bowel movements have changed in colour as well as texture. When eating food it doesn't matter how small or large the amount, i still get pain.

I am going on a long haul flight in a few weeks, will flying irritate the problem ?

Hi,

Have you noticed whether the pain increases sometime after a heavy meal?

Any alterations in bowel movement, such as constipation, since the onset of pain?
Any loss of appetite or nausea?

It is possible that the pain could be due to an inflammation of the gall bladder. It could also be related to any disorder of the liver or lungs.

It is necesary for you to meet a physician and have your symptoms evaluated further.
If it is an inflammation of the gall bladder, you will need to consider surgical management, subsequent to confirmatory tests.

In the meantime, you can do the follow:
Have smaller meals - 5-6 time daily.
Reduce fat content in diet.
Exercise.
Increase intake of fiber and fruits.
Drink at least 2000 ml of fluids per day.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
