pounding headaches

I am a forty year old male, in half decent shape , in my medical history I have had a few bad things happen ( cancer, heart problems and 2 grand maul seizures. Just recently I have been getting very bad thumping headaches during my first reps at the gym, so bad in fact that I almost had to stop, I don't know if this anything to do with my medical history, but I am getting a little paranoid. I don't want to tell my wife because then she will get all concerned. What next.

Never call them bad things, they are clinically unavoidable diseases.

I hope you do not smoke and you are in the normal BMI levels.

It is better to stop and visit your neurologist. As you have a history of Grandmal, i.e genralised seizures you should go for very mild forms of exercises. Go for walking, leisure swimming  & slowly when you acclimatize with it, then we advice you to increase your tempo.

Take care and do not stress yourself, as you coming out strongly through these unavoidable diseases was itself a great act!

Take care!
