Fitness - heart rate too high?

When I cycle (riding hybrid bike on road and park) my average heart rate is 169, but it often jumps to well over 180 (even reaching 192 on a steep incline). I cycle typically for and hour to an hour and a half at least 3 times a week. This seems very high for a 29 year old woman. I am no athlete but I have good natural fitness, I am a tad overweight though (not too bad). I do have low blood pressure (normal, but at the low end).
Is this average heart rate too high for that length of exercise?

Hi, your BMI should be less than 25 in order to make it normal. Your max heart rate could be approx 220 minus your age. That means you can achieve a heart rate of 190 while doing moderate to heavy exercise. Your target HR would be around 150-160 for your age. You should achieve your target heart rate slowly. The fact is that brisk walking will be sufficient to loose weight but slowly. Until you achieve target heart rate you would not loose weight more than a slow pace. Please add some jogging to your brisk walking schedule. Regards
