can't lift right arm when lying down

When I'm laying down I can't lift my right arm with the wrist up. I can lift it if I rotate my arm so that the thumb is up. Lots of pain in the shoulder joint when laying down. During the day numbness and tingling from shoulder to finger tips. This has been going on for months.  Any idea what is going on?

Dear Top,

Did you find out what was wrong with your arm?  I've had the same thing for a year, but my doctor can't figure it out.  Please help me if you can.  Thanks!

Hello!

I would suggest you an X-ray of your shoulder joint and also a proper examination of your cervical spine area and your shoulder near an orthopedician to come to a diagnosis.

Till that time take pain killers intermittently and apply ice packs.

Take care!
