Hey dermotmg.
Welcome to the forum.
Most likely you have a mg (magnesium) deficiency.
It is very common and difficult to detect as mg is only 1% in the blood.
Mg is involved in hundreds of body functions, and is the 3rd most important element
after Oxygen and Water. Very vital for heart beat regulation.
take Epsom salt baths (2 cups in the bath tub) and sok for 30 minutes.
Repeat every other day.
Your target rate should be about 150. Your higher levels are dangerous (specially with the spikes). My suggestion is to reduce the intensity of your workouts substantially for the time being.
It will take a few weeks for the mg to reach the desired levels.
Meanwhile, pay attention to different activities through out the day,
in the event that you might experience some heart rate irregularity.
Please do your own research, or check with your health care professional,
before making any decisions about you health.
Blessings

Nice post thanks. Your heart rate will naturally rise with exercise; some people experience sudden jumps in their heart rate and are never aware of it, while others may feel their heart racing. It can be an unsettling feeling and is worth reporting to your doctor, especially if you have other risk factors, such as high blood pressure or heart disease. If you are facing this problem then I think get yourself checked out by a doctor.
Hello!
Check your resting heart rate and also your heart rate during workouts.
The most common reason is fallacy in the way you do measurements and fallacy in the devices you use for measurements.
You can go to a general physician for a treadmill test to make sure that you do not have any issues. Also go for an ECG or EKG.
If all your indicators are normal then do not worry.
Take care!
Thanx a million I will look on to that
