Dry eye treatments - Essential oils PLUS Pycnogenol

I had excruciatingly dry eyes. Then I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, keratitus and diabetes (so first check out that you have not got these, because treating these helps).

I now have fairly dry eyes which I treat with:

1) Three essential oils - evening primrose oil, flax/linseed oil and cod liver oil

AND

2) a herbal medicine - bio-Pycnogenol (bark of the French maritime pine). This is a new treatment which really works for me - I have halved the amount of carbomer wettening eye drops I use at night. My supplier is Pharma Nord in the UK, who actually sells it for hayfever.

Hi the essential oils are supplements form health food stores, flaxseed, and cod liver oil are omega 3s, and Evening primrose is GLA, they have inflammotory effects. Which is a major role in dry eye.

So what do you do with these essential oils?  Do you just drop them into your eyes?  (I certainly hope not)  As someone who is pretty familiar with the use of essential oils for many things, I'm curious just how you are using them.  Many essential oils should not be used full strength, or "neat" as it's called.  Some are also dangerous to pregnant women.  You need to clarify this before someone who doesn't understand tries it.

Thanks
