possible glass in eye

i just shattered what I think is a ceramic plate; i was standing over the sink and it dropped from my hands. since then I feel like I have debris or grit in my left eye. i don't have pain or redness at this point; i flushed my eye with water but my eye doesn't feel right. I really don't want to go to an ER tonight.  Could there be some type of small glass/ceramic in my eye? will it work its way out or will i have to see a doctor; please advise. Thank you

You need to go see an ophthalmologist or visit the ER if the pain is still there.  Foreign bodies in the eye could lead to serious problems, corneal abrasions, and infections and if present need to be taken out.
