A Crystalens IOL question

Here are some stats

My prescription before IOL replacement
was
OD  Sphere -1.5, cylinder -0.75 axis 176
OS Sphere  +3, cylinder -3.0 axis 147

The crystalens implants were
OD 17.0 diopters cylinder 2.75
OS 19.5 diopters cylinder 2.00

My drivers license is expiring and I flunked the vision test without any additional correction so the doctor gave me the following prescription.

OD sphere -1.25 cylinder DS
OS sphere pl cylinder -1.5 axis 148

Clearly the IOL numbers don't correlate to the measured eye numbers. Why such a big difference between the IOL implants and the before and after prescriptions?

I did have the Trulign Crystalens. The astigmatism is not corrected in the left eye.  Although I had a superficial keratectomy six weeks before the IOL was implanted to remove Salzmans nodules, the doctor told me last week that the left eye is still "bumpy".

They will reevaluate three months post op and make LASIK or PRK corrections  as necessary. The doctor says that the anti inflammatory drugs that I take for eight weeks post op to prevent scar tissue formation also inhibit stabilization of the eye. Apparently the lens capsule needs to tighten up around the implant before the final result can be expected.

But why the big differences in sphere between implants and prescription?

The astigmatism correction is calculated from the corneal astigmatism since the astigmatism in the cataract is removed with surgery.

Did you have a Trulign (astigmatism correcting) Crystalens?  If so you it looks like the astigmatism was not corrected.
