Hello All!
I hope all is well here. I went to an optometrist to get my eyes recently looked at for a new lens for my eyes as I don't remember my old prescription and broke my regular glasses. When the O.D looked me over with the eye machine that makes the picture of the house change he said he wasn't getting a read on the right eye. He tested my left eye without any problems. He tried the right eye again and same issue. My eye pressure test was fine. But when he looked into my eye he said there was something covering the actual lens of my eye. I asked if it was a cataract which appear in my family quite often (my Dad had his first at 30 and I am 26). He said he would not say that because it didn't look like one. He looked again and again saying it just seems something is tenting the lens. I just lost my vision insurance so seeing a specialist is kind of hard unless this is critical.
He said I am now right eye dominate. I have had eye surgery to correct a muscle issue when I was twelve and I have always had a stronger left eye then right. My last eye exam aside from this was about 2 years ago and everything was fine with my eyes they didn't see anything of concern. The prescription (if it will help any) that he gave says the following:
D.V.
OD Sphere +0.25 Cylinder -0.75 Axis 055
OS Sphere -1.25 Cylinder -0.50 Axis 180
Could you tell me if this is critical to be seen? When I called the same eye doctor that did my surgery as a kid his office said that it wasn't a rush and they would see me in a month earliest.
Thank you folks for your help!
