Can you harm your eyes by looking hard left and right?

Can you detach your retina or damage your optic nerve by looking hard to the sides a lot? Or does it just strain the muscles? Thank you :)

Every muscle has a point at which it will no longer work/stretch.  If the muscle is over stretched like playing football or lifting heavy weights it can damage the muscle (a sprain or tear)  The same thing does NOT happen with eye muscles during normal visual activities.
So even looking hard left or right, I can't harm my optic nerve or retina?
No, mellow out
lol, yes, I need to. Thanks again
