Anyone experience huge burst of light after cataract surgery?

Had cataract surgery in one eye this month and the other 4 months ago. I see an arc in my left I but that's not my primary worry.

I am seeing very large round bursts like fireworks in my right eye at night so large they run into each other.  It is impossible to drive at night.  Its not just a halo its like a huge fireworks display.  Has anyone else had this experience?

Which eye had cataract surgery? Does the other eye have a cataract? Have you told your surgeon about these symptoms?

Both eyes had cataract surgery.  The eye that I am having the most trouble with regarding night driving was done in October.  It was a technic Symfony multifocal lens.  The other eye was just done 2 wks ago with a regular technis multifocal lens.  Am having some halo at night and some arc to the left side with the one I just did 2 wks ago,  But the extreme size and burst of lines like a fireworks display with the one done in October is the most disturbing.  My doctor said we might try drops but I cant imagine that it would take that away.

Use the search feature and archives and read the many posts about the Symfony IOL. Some are happy, some not so much.   Generally you need a very careful glasses test (refraction) and custom glasses (multifocal no line) perhaps with anti-reflective coating. You would need to try these at night, and other times where you want to see as good as you can without unwanted light reflexes (dysphotopsia).  I know you don't want to wear glasses but if the glasses solve the problem you need to wear them when you want to see as good as you can. If you have big pupils you can try with your doctors permission alphagan-p at night as it keeps the pupil from dilating at night.  If nothing works you can get a second opinion different office.
