Anything wrong?

I currently have a cold. It is now in the cough with green discharge, and the same from the nose. Been taking all the normal stuff. Went to bed last night and woke up this morning with my left I red and it is wetter than the other, is the only way I know how to describe it. After about 5 minutes I need to dab the corners of the eye with tissue. There is no discoloration to the liquid. I can see fine out of the eye. It is slow decreasing in redness.  The liquid was similar to the stuff you get in the morning but right now its not. Is this something to do with my sinus/upper respiratory infection or the sign of something else?

Yes, it is quite possibly all part of the upper respiratory infection.  If you get continued redness or pus coming out of the eye or irritation or blurred vision, you should see an ophthalmologist right away.

It just started to get a collection of mucus? in the corner.  Not increasingly red.  I am planning on on going to my family physcian 01/04/10 Monday. Is there anything else I can do about it? What is the treatment? Just treat the upper respiratory infection? Will my general practice doctor be able to treat an eye issue? Thank You.
