Blind Spot in right eye

My husband just phoned me to say he's noticing a blind spot in his right eye.  If he's reading a bunch of part numbers for work, it's as though the last few numbers drop off and he can't see them.

He's also noticing numbness in his right hand... started in his pinky finger and progressing through his hand.

Any thoughts?

Dear Brooke_Nick,

I would recommend that he seek immediate care!  As you do not mention his age nor medical history the differential diagnosis includes things like stroke or multiple sclerosis.

I would take him to the E.R. as soon as possible! You guys need to make sure he isn't having a stroke or anything of that matter. If the E.R. gives him the OK to go, you could take him to an opthamologist to see if there might be something going on with his eys. Good luck to you both! I hope your husband is OK....
