Bloodshot Eyes from Scuba Diving

Having just returned from a scuba diving vacation, I'm still plagued by bloodshot eyes.  Is this the result of pressure from water depths (to 85') or mask squeeze?  What can be done to eliminate the redness long term (other than Visine)?

Don't use Visine. Use preservative artifical tears and expect the redness to clear in about a week. (assuming you don't wear contacts).

Any residual problem related to your should be gone by March 1. If your eyes are still red its almost assuredly the contacts. You might want to call your contact lens "eye doctor".

Thank you Dr. Hagan!  I do wear soft disposable contacts.  I'm very sure the redness is related to the diving however rather than just to the contacts.  Does this impact your advice?
thanks again for your help!
