Blue Halo Around Object

My 13 year old daughter started having vision problems 3 days ago. She said it started with seeing sparkling around moving objects but now she sees a blue halo around objects. It seems to be getting worse. Today she could not read because the blue halos were blocking the letters.

She has an appt with an optometrist tomorrow and an ophthalmologist next Wed but I wanted to see if I can get any advice on this problem.

She also recently began having leg pains and then shoulder pains. The only unusual event was a small case of ringworm a couple of months ago.

The ophthalmologist said she had an Occular Migraine. She may also have exagerated the symptoms because she was scared. Her vision seems to be fine now.
Thanks.

I'm sorry I couldn't get to this sooner.  She needs to see the ophthalmolgoist right away.  I would call the office and explain that she is not able to see.  By this time, I suspect she has already seen the optometrist.  What was found?  The symptoms are a little unusual and I really have no strong inclination as to what she has but anytime someone says they are not able to see to read normally all of a sudden, I get concerned.
