Dr. -- Thank you for the advice. If there is astigmatism, which my doctor thinks could be the case, can that be corrected? My eye has already gone through Lasik in 2000, lens implant 2 months ago and lens replacement one month ago. What could be done next?
The sutures can affect astigmatism in a major way - good and bad. I always measure the astigmatism very carefully before removing any corneal sutures because removal can powerfully affect the amount of astigmatism and thus the vision. Usually, I also try to only remove one suture per visit to see how the astigmatism changed, them move carefully to the next suture on the next visit if everything is OK. I think it is very important to tell your surgeon right away what you are experiencing. I'm sure he would want to know. Basically it sounds like you may have some astigmatism issues but see your surgeon right away to make sure - since there are definitely other possibilities.
